We don’t operate a reception. Please make your way directly to your chosen camp area.

Camps are marked: Camp 1, Camp 2, Camp 3, etc

Pick any free site in your chosen camp.

All bookings are made online, head over to our bookings page and choose from one of the available camp areas. We have 4 camp areas; each camp area has 3-5 sites. Once you’ve booked your preferred camp area, you can pick any available camp site

No pets are not allowed. This policy is in place to protect the local wildlife and maintain a peaceful and undisturbed natural environment.

No, Our park is designed with a focus on providing a serene escape from the city, making it less suitable for children. We cater primarily to mature travelers, couples, and those seeking a tranquil and peaceful retreat amidst nature.

Our nearest town is Dalby.  Dalby has a Coles, Woolworths, Mitre10 and Bunnings

Each site has a maximum occupancy of 4 adults.

Camp fires permitted depending on fire season.  No open fires are allowed, please use the provided BBQ areas.

Bush Lights Nature Park is a stunning 100-acre nature retreat located on the outskirts of Dalby, Queensland, Australia. Our park offers a peaceful escape into the Australian bush, providing a range of camping and accommodation options.

No, our campgrounds are off the grid, which means they do not have access to electricity. However, we provide a range of facilities to ensure your comfort during your stay.

The park is open year-round, but the best time to visit will be during the cooler months. March – September  offer comfortable weather conditions, while summer days can be very hot with cool nights. Please check the weather and local conditions before planning your trip.

Mobile phone coverage is limited to Telstra due to its remote location. However, some areas may have limited reception depending on your service provider.  Free WiFi is available at the main camp area.

Depending on the season and visitor numbers, BBQ meat trays available on requests

You cannot get to any of the bush camps without a pre-booking. We will send you the gate access code with your booking confirmation, please check your email, spam and deleted items.

If you find the front gate locked, please use the code in your welcome email. 

Gate Instructions

No we only have space for caravans / campervans / RV’s. You must be self contained with your own shower and toilet

No, each person entering Bush Lights Camping will be a full paying overnight guest.

Camp 1 is suitable for long vehicles or if you’re towing a trailer.

No, please empty your tanks at Dalby, 1 Black St, Dalby or 28 Park St, Chinchilla

Check in: from 12PM to 5PM
Check out: by 11AM

You’re welcome to arrive early, but you might have to wait until 12 to find a free space.

Travelling at dawn or dusk is not recommended. Watch out for wildlife on the road and on the side of the road.

Arriving after 5PM is not advised. The park is off-grid and dark at night. Reversing and setting up camp in the dark is not safe. At the camp gate there is a large turn-around area on your left, park here if you do happen to arrive after 5PM.

Inverter type “silent” generators less than 3.6KVA are allowed from 12PM to 8PM

Any open frame or non-inverter generators are not allowed.
